The moment you upload a file, it's hashed, checked against your plan's duration limit, and handed to a queue — none of that scales linearly with file length, but the transcription step itself does.

A 30-minute file and a 3-hour file go through the exact same pipeline; the 3-hour one just spends proportionally longer actually being transcribed.

If you're on a deadline, splitting a long recording into per-topic chunks gets you readable partial results sooner.
